Check the installed version
Read the Drumbeat version in the admin screen header or footer and the WordPress Plugins list. These are the versions installed on that site; a newer ZIP stored on your computer is not proof the site has been updated. This guide is based on Drumbeat 1.0.321.
Apply an update
Back up the database and plugin files. Upload the approved Drumbeat ZIP through Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, use WordPress’s replacement workflow when offered, and verify that the plugin remains active. Confirm key screens and integrations after updating.
Automatic updates rely on an available update package through WordPress’s update system; enabling the setup switch alone does not establish an update service.
Check scheduled processing
Delayed sends can depend on WordPress cron and hosting configuration. Ask the site administrator to check cron if scheduled work is consistently late. Inspect the existing queue before starting another manual run.
Know what reactivation does
Deactivating and reactivating Drumbeat is not a substitute for fixing provider credentials or reviewing queues. If Guided Setup is unfinished, reactivation opens it again. Verify the license and the saved setup state when troubleshooting repeated setup prompts.
