Connect the provider
In Drumbeat Settings, find the AI provider controls. Choose OpenAI or Penstock where offered by your version. Enter your own provider API credentials and select a model available to that account. Use Save and Check for the selected provider and confirm its status.
Provider API access and usage charges are separate from your Drumbeat subscription. A consumer chat subscription is not proof of API access.
Set channel guidance
Open Settings → AI Training. Complete Email, LinkedIn, and X guidance for tone, length, formatting, examples, and notes. Include facts the model must preserve and styles it should avoid. Save before generating new content.
Add post-type guidance
Post Type AI Training supplements global channel guidance for content based on a selected source type. Choose the post type and add the relevant notes. Global rules still apply; use the additional notes for source-specific requirements.
Review generated output
Training is used in generation, regeneration, updates, and related AI workflows, but output still needs review. Check dates, names, claims, links, and audience fit. If generation fails, inspect provider status, available model access, quota, and the reported error before repeating a large batch.
