FOR READERS
A clean public experience, built around discovery.
Readers see the current published record—not the editorial machinery behind it. EZWiki keeps the public wiki focused, responsive, and easy to navigate.
Search & filter
Search the directory, narrow by article type, browse categories and tags, and keep filters intact across results and pagination.
Responsive layouts
Article cards, directories, navigation, and custom layouts adapt from desktop to phone without changing the content model.
Connected knowledge
Surface related diagrams, terms, companies, profiles, documents, references, and working groups as navigable published links.
ARTICLE TYPES & DESIGN
Give each kind of knowledge the right shape.
Build reusable article experiences with labeled data elements and intentional layouts—without turning authors into page designers.
Administrator-defined article types
Create a shared type or a dedicated article post type with a stable URL structure.
Responsive canvas designer
Arrange headings, dividers, shared rich text, article content, and mapped data in full, half, third, or quarter widths.
Labeled field mapping
Present clear reader-facing labels independently from internal WordPress or Pods field names.
Purpose-built field support
Use text, rich text, numbers, URLs, dates, media files, and relationships to supported records.
Data-backed preview
Preview a design against a real article before saving it for every article of that type.
Revision-safe layout saves
Reject stale designer updates and warn about unsaved changes before navigation.
FOR CONTRIBUTORS & REVIEWERS
Collaboration with a clear editorial boundary.
EZWiki separates contribution from publication. The result is a workflow that welcomes expertise without giving every author direct control of the canonical record.
Draft workspace
Wiki contributors use a focused front-end workspace and WYSIWYG editor for title, body, supported media, relationships, and mapped fields.
Tracked proposals
Every proposal records the author, timestamp, summary, original draft, proposed replacement, and formatted additions and removals.
Threaded discussion
Members can comment on a proposal or the article and reply in context. Editorial discussion stays private to Wiki members.
Accept or reject
Wiki Admins review a complete proposal, accept it into the draft, or reject it with an explanation that remains part of the record.
Numbered releases
Finalize an approved draft into a permanent Version 1, Version 2, and beyond, with its publisher and UTC publication timestamp.
Conflict protection
A proposal based on an older accepted draft cannot silently overwrite newer work. Stale submissions are preserved for resubmission.
CONTROL WITHOUT CLUTTER
The right people see the right layer.
Scoped roles
Public readers, Wiki contributors, Wiki Admins, and site administrators each get a deliberately bounded experience. Wiki Admin authority does not grant unrelated site-management privileges.
Article history
Track administrative before-and-after changes to core article fields, status, featured media, Wiki taxonomies, and supported structured fields from the time EZWiki is installed.
Resilient public reading
License verification protects setup and collaborative editing. Already-published content remains readable if verification cannot refresh.
MOVE WITH EVIDENCE
A legacy migration you can inspect before you commit.
EZWiki includes a deliberate path from a legacy Pods-backed wiki to native WordPress records, with checks designed to keep IDs, URLs, relationships, media, and recovery options visible.
✓ Preview installed source definitions and record counts
✓ Dry-run imports and explicit collision mapping
✓ Resumable record and media processing
✓ Relationship and internal-link remapping
✓ Atomic recovery snapshots and retained source data
NATIVE AT THE CORE
WordPress is the platform—not a wrapper.
EZWiki uses native post types, metadata, the Media Library, permalinks, sitemaps, taxonomies, users, and familiar administration. Pods is optional for normal operation and available for legacy import or mapped storage when needed.
